Hi, I'm Ceil. I hate intros. I like a lot of random stuff. There's no main theme for what I may, or may not (I can be pretty lazy and sit around staring at other posts instead of, y'know bothering to think of something to post) post.

I know, I'm fascinating, right? Right. :)

Across the Universe. What a spectacular damn movie. I frakkin’ love re-watching it. I always find that funny because I was so worried about watching it for the first time a couple years ago. When I first saw the trailer I thought “I’m either going to really fucking love that or I’m going to despise it and hiss at people when they mention it. There is no in-between.”
Mostly, I was really worried with whether or not I was going to loathe what they did with the Beatles’ catalog. I’ve been a fan of the Beatles thanks to my dad since I can remember. It wasn’t so much that I was afraid they’d butcher the songs so much as I remember watching bits and pieces ofSgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Bandwhen I was younger and man…if you’ve ever seen it, well, I don’t have to explain.
Anyway.Across the Universewound up being awesome (in my opinion. feel free to hate it if you like!). It deserves multiple viewings. Or forgetting about it for awhile and then going ‘ooh I haven’t watched that in awhile and I’ve had some time LET’S DO THIS!’ Like I did today.
The End.

Adele - Lovesong (album version) (by boozarooz)

I tend to be really pet peeve-y when it comes to admitting I like a cover song. I like cover songs when they are live and a band just plays it because it’s fun and sometimes bands pick really awesome covers that you’re not expecting. But when a performer or band does a cover of a song, especially a song that I really love, I can be very vicious. Then again sometimes I knew the cover first (Tiffany - I Think We’re Alone Now for example) and wind up liking it.

Anyway the point is that Adele’s cover of The Cure’s Lovesong is awesome and I just felt like saying so.

The Better 30 Day Song Challenge

Yeah, so I decided about three days ago that I would do this. The problem is I just want to post all of my answers at once. Anyway:

Day 1. Your favorite song.

Jesus Christ, could there have been a harder question for the first day? FML! I’m going with Hanson - Been There Before because it doesn’t matter how many times I’ve heard this song, be it live or on my iPod, whatever, it never fails to put me into a mellow, awesome, chilled mood.

willliam:

#1 Michael Jackson - Thriller…..

My two favorite things Zombies (which scare the shit out of me) and music (which is awesome). How could I not figure this out for myself?:
#1 The overall theme for the apocalypse: Guns N Roses - Welcome to the Jungle#2 What plays when you kill your first zombie: Bob Marley - I Shot The Sheriff#3 When getting chased by a horde:  Pink Floyd - On The Run#4 When you have to kill your loved one: Michelle Branch - Goodbye To You (Though I’d probably be thinking of BTVS at the same time…not that I’d be able to hear the soundtrack…hm. Moving on!) #5 When you find a group of survivors: Hedwig & The Angry Inch - Wicked Little Town (Though I’d probably go with Ben Jelen’s cover of it, just sayin’)#6 When you meet a new love interest: Hanson - Make It Out Alive (Google that shit, it’s perfect!)#7 When you have to make a final stand: AC/DC - If You Want Blood (I feel that Drowning Pool - Bodies might be a close second)#8 When you think you’ve survived it all: Queen - We Are The Champions#9 When you discover a bite mark on you: The Beatles - Yesterday#10 Plays over the end credits: Air - Cemetary Party (This song still creeps my shit out ever since that scene in the Veronica Mars pilot…)
